Installation of Cryostat Base Section in the Tokamak Pit

The Cryostat Base section, an In-Kind Contribution to ITER from India was installed at the Tokamak pit during the wee hours of 28 May 2020. The structure weighing approx. 1250 Tons, over 29 m diameter and 6 m tall was placed with positional accuracy of less than 3 mm with only very small gaps around.
